I have a 1994 Ford F150 with a 300 6-cylinder. While on my way to church last Sunday the truck just quit on me like it ran our of gas. I smelled electrical as soon as it done it. The truck will turn over but not start so I guessed it was the fuel pump. Checked the fuse, it was good. I checked the relay and it was clicking ok. So I dropped the fuel tank and pulled the fuel pump out. I jumped it straight to the battery and it ran but when I plugged it back to the harness it wouldn't run. So where do I go from here. I think the truck used to have duel tanks before I got it. Master mechanic is not my name so a lot of description will be necessary. Thanks
Did you check the fuel cut off switch to see if it tripped out? It is located under the right kick panel. There is a little dip on the top of the panel to push the reset.
Folks I appreciate the advice and help. It was the PCM that burned up. That thing was aggravating to get out. Now should I save money and buy used or just get a new one?
