Fuel leak!
My fuel mileage has dropped to around 5 mpg at first I just thought it was my ip and injectors getting worse... Until earlier I arrived at my destination and seen what looked like steam coming out from under the hood so I popped the good and was greatest with a face full of diesel fumes!.... I searched and can't pin point the leaks exact location because almost everything is covered in fuel... I just finished driving the ol girl home and it seems that most of it has dried up but I still have fuel puddles on the engine, and even with the truck running when I throttle it up or at idle I can't see any dripping fuel or anything squirting I don't know where to look everywhere I can physically see I can't see fuel coming from anywhere... I have 2 return line caps that have moisture around them but are not the source of this much fuel because the fuel is puddled mostly around the ip (my main concern and suspicion of the leak)

Took brake parts cleaner and rinsed the top of the engine off to get rid of all the fuel residue and then I let her dry for a couple hours and started her up again took about 2 minutes to start leaking again... Somehow it rubbed a hole in the return line from the center of the ip to the fuel filter head!
