I have a 1976 302 in a 1954 ford F-100. the truck ran but was in a flood I've redone everything on the truck. All new ignition components and now it will turn over but will not fire up. I'm lost all the wiring is brand new i dont know where else to look
yes it was running a week ago but the voltage regulator went out and the old coil quit as well after replacing the and putting in new wiring now it will not start
Was it running before the rewire and didn't start after? If so, I would suspect the rewire.
Are you running the Dura-Spark II ignition or an aftermarket ignition?
On DSII check for voltage at the red wire and at the + side of the coil.
The truck doesnt have an ignition box its just the coil voltage regulator soleniod and altenator. and its been that way for thirty years as my dad owned it before me but it was in a flood so everything is new. the wiring that was cut off of it was spliced and taped in so many different places and now its new and straight wire im just missing something
