Removing the metal clips was tough on mine. Two stout hook picks help. One to pull up on the clip and the other to pull the "teeth" from where they bite into the slots on the plastic nut. My OE clips did not have the holes to pull open like the one in the pic. The bottom plastic push-in was stiff and difficult to collapse adequately to pull out on one side. The push-in on the other side just snapped and got itself out of the way. The plastic bits will come with the new lamp assembly, but not the metal clips. At least not with the super cheapies I bought on Fleabay.
