I am building a 393 stroker for my '89 F-250 project truck. This truck will be a driver, a tow vehicle, and a farm truck. Once I build it, I will leave it alone (unless it breaks down ), so being able to change things and try new combinations is NOT importanmt to me. So, I am wondering which would be better - converting everything over to Mass Air (problematic with an E4OD), or getting a custom tuned fuel/spark map for the speed density system. I've been building mild to wild FoMoCo motors for over 13 yrs. but am new to EFI, so please help me out here. . .
Convert it over to Mass Air. That's the only way to go for hp. The only small blocks I know of that came with an E4OD were the first gen Lightnings. However, you could always get a harness/computer for a manual and then use the Baumanator (sp?) to control your E4OD.
