Frame behind the cab on a pickup is 36" wide. Cab-n-chassis is 34"

So that narrows down the frame perches on the axle.

Also cab-n-chassi have 2.25" rear leaf springs. pickups have 3"

the C-n-c dually axle is also about 2-3" wider than a SRW axle(to allow for dual wheels)

And YES, there is no difference between pickup and c-n-c trans

Thanks again. Just looked at the weather, and it looks like rain. That means my last leaf cleanups will have to wait a little longer. If so, I'll be pulling the rust bucket in to the shop and try to get the trans and engine pulled tomorrow. I'll take pics and try to get them up here.

Mowing man- i was told you post a lot about plowing and you know a lot about mods, lifts, leveling kits and such and what's needed if you're intending on mounting a plow. Is that correct?
