Merry Christmas all. I was wondering if anyone had any major issues with running an 08 F350 6.4 at well below zero temps? This past Tuesday it hit -15F in central New Hampshire. We usually get 10-20 cold days like this during the winter. Coldest I have seen here is -25. Anyway I don't take my truck to work every day because it does not make a good commuter vehicle and work is only 10 miles, barely enough to get it warmed up. On this cold morning I decided to take it so I let it warm up for about ten minutes, stopped at the circle-K and left it running. When I got to work it was running really rough and shaking. My first thought was that the diesel had jelled up because like a dumb *** I neglected to put the additive in the fuel tank. I drove it home that night and parked it for a few days. Last night after it finally hit 30 degrees I tried starting it. It starts fine but still runs bad. Oh yeah no check engine lights either. So I bought the fluid that is supposed to re-liquify the jelled diesel and I changed the fuel filters as well. Still nothing has changed. I did hook up the OBDII and it gave me a misfire code on #2 cylinder. Being the weekend before christmas and considering I do not have heat in my barn and it wont get above 35 for about 4 more months I decided to drop it off at my mechanic. I drove the 4 miles to his shop at about 5 miles per hour. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this code. This bums me out because I was supposed to take it to my father in laws in Jersey on the 24th to inherit his complete garage of tools and equipment.
