Alright, So I got an 87 f150 with the 5.0 in it and for some reason my temp gauge isnt reading anything, Ive tried doing some research on google and so far ive heard theres two sending units one for the gauge and one for the computer, I cant figure out where the one for the gauge is ive found the one for the computer that has two wires but im having a hell of a time finding the sensor for the gauge ? anybody have any ideas im quite stumped on this one

 

The temp sender for the dash is near the #5 runner on the lower intake manifold, next to #5 injector.

Short answer is: it's in front of the oil filter. Best accessed with the filter removed. Save yourself the trouble and get a sending unit socket!

 

Thanks guys for all the help ! I ended up finding it it was hidden by the A/C compressor but I got it changed and everything is working now !
