I wonder if epa guys pretend they're "enthusiasts" and come around looking for threads such as this, then ask for all the info so they can pursue more companies? I haven't trusted the epa since that whole debacle with them releasing all the ghosts in new york in the early 80's.

ha i wonder the same thing sometimes, i sure do NOT work for the EPA.
<O</O yes that included the tuner, pipe block plates and SPE tune. i learned a lot form this site. the best thing to do is call Snyder Performance Engineering - Diesel & Turbo Performance Parts & Service - Snyder Performance they will answer all of your questions. although i did have a small issue with SPE i sent them a price match email never heard back called about 4 times to follow up on the email, they said they had it and would call me back. i got tired of waiting so i ordered the pipe and block plates from alligator performance. if you go with a complete egr delete and a complete exhaust system it will be more, i was on a tight buget.
It was tomstoner06' post that got me to wondering that in this thread, not accusing him or anything. Did he edit his post after I posted that? LOL sorry tom, not trying to accuse you or anything but it was your post that made me think that.
The only reason I asked is because everywhere I have found is 1700 to 1800 just for the tuner so 1500 for tuner and exhaust is a killer deal that I want to hop on. And just FYI I'm in the military I don't work for the EPA.
For those that did the deletes were you either out of warranty or didn't care anyway? Reason I ask is that I have extended warranty and service plan on the truck I bought (used) and if I do the deletes I assume it will void some or all of the warranty coverage. Warranty is good until Jun 2015 if I recall correctly.

I didn't think that you were accusing me at all. i just meant that i wonder if the EPA monitors these forums, thats all.
ok tomstoner first of all thanks for your service, i am prior service myself. as for the tuner a locked street tuner can be unlocked with an MCC tune. SPE has a good one, hotx tune. it comes with an engine and trans tune, my truck has never shifted so well and the higher the power setting on the tuner the smother it shifts. the locked H&S MM street i got works for 6.7 11-13 thats what it says on the box anyway. i order it then called SPE and bought the HotX MCC tune.
playersZ28 iam just shy of 53k on my truck, yes it will void your warranty, however on a sunday afternoon i could put the truck back to stock and return the truck to stock tune. I think the truck runs so much better, for me the risk was worth the reward.
Me too. Have 100k warranty and at 43k decided it was time. I did it for reliability and engine health. Run the lowest HP tune as I don't need more HP and don't want to risk trans or engine internals. Can't risk engine shutting down in the middle of nowhere due to a faulty exhaust temp sensor. Didn't mind DPF or DEF but EGR is not good for any engine. CCV reroute is next.
riden82, putting it back to stock tune before taking it in for service doesn't do anything, ECM still shows your were inside as far as I know. I'd like to do the deletes and a mild tune but don't want to get denied on a major powertrain item. I've tuned most of my previous vehicles but they had no warranty left when I did it anyway except on the Avalanche. That blew a tranny & xfer case and Chev still put new ones in with 5k left on the powertrain warranty. Don't remember if I reflashed the ECM before it went in or not, I had used my HPTuners on it.
it was a risk that i was willing to take. That is true that they would still be able to see, however from what i understand they would not be able to see exactly what it is, for instance going to advanced auto and having them run codes for a CEL would show the same thing, so you might be able to go play that card with a dealer(if you want risk it). i really dont know if that is true or not but i want to say that i read that on FTE somewhere. again not 100% sure about that, and again my truck in the 3 plus years i have had it has never run so well. maybe someone might know if that is true or not and chime in.
I decided to do this when my buddies 6.7 cummins went in for EGR issues this summer and was out of warranty and cost him a few k in repairs.
