My buddy has a 95 PSD and cannot seem to locate a core support for it anywhere, LMC has ones for 94 and earlier IDI engines and he is wondering if those will work with his PSD radiator and ac/transmission cooler, slight modification of the IDI support wouldn't be an issue but he's not looking to hack it all up after paying 100+ for it.

 

Only a PSD core support will hold the PSD radiator, and only Ford makes them (and with a bend-over-and-smile price tag). How bad is his existing core support? Is it the cracks on the top, or rust down at the frame mounts, or both? He may want to consider get it welded up.

 

No. LMC does NOT sell an IDI core support for the 92-94 trucks. Ford made ONE diesel core support for the 92-97 truck. No matter IDI, power stroke, A/C or NON a/C they were all the same.

LMC wants you to buy their support(a gasser one) then when you get it, and it does work, you do ant want to spend the fright to send it back.

USEd is your ONLY option

Ford stopped making them about 4 years ago and they sold the remaining ones that had FAST

 

Lmc list a core support for IDI diesels is what he was telling me..... That is weird.

Just because they LIST one doesn't mean they HAVE the right one. Like Brad said; guys have bought it before and found out the hard way that it's mis-listed.
