I have a completely stock 1989 ford bronco xlt.I am looking at ATX Series atx slot rims from tire rack and they are recommending 33X12.5R15 tires. If you could tell me if those tires would workny advise or tips or anything would be great. Thanks
I run that size tire on my 85 Bronk in the summer.
It's a 351W HO. They rub the arms just a little in
a hard over turn around. Just enough to knock the
mud off is all. And yes with the C6 with no overdrive
I get a little worse MPG unless I am rock crawling.
than it's the same.
With the 33's on "The Bronk" I can still cruise around 70 MPH.
But 80 is about all she has got and that down hill with a tail wind.
With the 31's she will snap to 80 quickly and run there all day.
Never have topped her out and prolly never will. Even the speed
run to the clinic with a kid having possible appendices problems
I only ran 85 with lots of peddle left. On theses roads
that are built for 50 MPH that's plenty fast enough.
It sure rolls easier with the hubs out at high speeds also.
