How many guys are running / building flare sides on here ?
I'm running a 1979 F-350 4x4 but my brother has a 1978 or 79 Flareside 4x4 in his garage. It has a 300 engine and I can't remember if it's auto or manual trans. I know something's wrong with the front axle and he's not really working on it or anything. It just sits there. Maybe I'll get some pics and finally learn how to post them here.
I have a 1978 f-150 flareside 4x4 short bed with a 1973 grill . Just got done rebuilding it top to bottom runs real strong with the 400 and chi heads .
hey B.Petry....count me in. I've been 8 years on a frame off restoration of a 77 Short Box Flareside. Nothing but NOS or restored OEM parts on this one!
Look forward to seeing pics of it .
I am in parts gathering mode right now . I am also trying to decide if I want to build a stroked 302 or a 351 for the truck . I pulled the tired c4 out today and have a c6 waiting to go in . Going to get it to sit right , stop right collect parts and drive the wheels off it for the next 8 mos . Then late summer start pulling it apart .
