This is what happens when I have too much time on my hands and I obsess. I create threads..
I have dual tanks on my F150. The gauges get close to empty, I go to refuel and each tank only takes about 6 gallons. So, they weren't empty.
Fuel sender issue (both tanks?), a problem with the dual tank setup (valve), or could this be a venting issue (that may lead to vapor lock and my current problem outlined in another thread).
Perhaps this is all related? As my current issue started after I filled up last..
That is weird. I have an 89' F250 that I have just went through the whole gas system. When I bought this truck the front tank would only take a couple gals. While changing the fuel pump in the front tank I noticed the plastic filler tube was disconnected from the metal housing that attaches to the side of the bed. Have you checked your switch?
