Truck was nearly outta gas the other day. Went to station and filled up the rear tank. Went to fill front tank and nasty yellow-ish fuel came out right away. So it was full - and has likely been for several months.
When the fuel switch is placed in R position, everything good. When switching to F, truck immediately sputters and dies.
So my problem is fuel pump in the front tank, right? Anything else it could be based on my description?
Yes your front pump is dead and you have the fuel transfer problem which should be fixed when you replace the complete fuel delivery module in that tank.
Thanks for your quick reply! Can you give me a part number of what I am after? I looked on RockAuto but see modules called out for the rear tank, not front. Thanks!
