Hey! I'll start from the very beginning, its a long story but hopefully someone can tell me what is being over looked.
Almost a year ago we bough a 2003 6.0L off the internet because it was a price we couldn't refuse. The motor was shot and needed a new block.
So calling around we couldn't find one, but someone gave us a number to a guy who does all the 6.0L in the valley. He has been our mentor.
He sold us a block, and his first and biggest piece of advice was replace all the orings. But being young we thought we knew better and replaced only the ones that needed it. We now know better. We did the egr delete. Did the stud kit. Bought the victor head gaskets.
The truck ran great until one day it stalled under load and wouldn't start. Towed it home. Did an air test. Air leak. Replaced some expensive orings. Fired right back up and ran great.
Then it started dying again. Only this time it would fire back up with time to cool down. Air test. Air leak. Replaced stand pipe. Replaced some objectors orings. New icp.
Problem continued. Replaced Ipr, oil filters, fuel filters, new oil x3, brain, ficm, injector, fuel return lines, oil return lines, oil supply lines (and the new one was out of spec by 4mm from Ford, the steel braided line coming from the standpipe, engineer sent replacement), hpop, u pipe.
Problem continued. What's left? More air tests. No leaks! (About time). But still won't build pressure when hot. Replaced the new Ipr and icp again, possibly faulty? Every screen possible.
Then figured, maybe low pressure system not feeding high pressure system. Replaced gears and regulator spring. (Only difference that made is higher boost at idle and higher boost under load).
So what are we missing? Obviously its a hot oil leak, but where? Everything is new. We are now 7 months into this problem. I am tired of sticking my hand into the hole from hell to keep doing air tests. I'm tired of my chest hurting from laying on the rad and motor. I'm tired of my husband being out there. I want to spend my money on fun things for the truck like a new bumper and not on parts! I'm tired of having guys pulling over and asking if I need help and telling me its probably head gaskets or egr (are some guys so stupid that they can only repeat what they hear so they sound like they know what they're talking about? I'm way past egr!) I'm tired of my kids screaming they're bored while I wait for the truck to start. Or packing up my baby in the bush waiting for the time it just might not ever start..
It's not throwing any relatable codes, nor do we get a check engine light. When I get home from work ill grab the list and post what the reader has said
Can you post some numbers?
ICP/IPR
FICM
Cranking rpm
Do you have sync and FICM sync?
It's currently a "crank-no start" now? Does it try to fire at all when cranking?
Ok, yes have scangauge, what a life saver! As for numbers I will go for a drive tonight and get some current ones. Yes to sync. It will fire up right away when cold. When hot it cranks and cranks. Pressure won't come up past 370. But let it cool to 134 and will crank a few times then fire. Hpop is brand new from accurate diesel. This may be of interest, after replacing the low pressure gears and reg spring the turbo has boost of 1.5 1.6 at idle, where before it was always around 0.5ish.
Would the log rails have an o-ring similar to the nipple cup problem that creator found on his wave rails? IIRC he said 100psi shop air didn't show that kind of leak. Maybe the hot no-start is a repeated failure of an injector o-ring getting caught before the air test is showing it.

Maybe dummy plugs or what was stated earlier injector orings. Did you use oem oil filter? I would check to see if your oil is not draining back down at the filter after hot.
That drain line we age replaced over the weekend, and all filters are from Ford. Also not injector orings. When running truck runs great. No mis. Scanner isn't catching any problems. Man said that there was a 'software incompatibity fuel injection control mod' came up today. UO 306. I'm about to google that.

That code just means that the FICM wasn't flashed with the PCM. It's not really of any concern.
