Got to read codes, there are many options, scan gauge 2, autoinginuity, dash boss, dealer? I don't think it is fuel problems given your note above. When was last time oil and filter, fuel filters (2) empowered changed? Using Motorcraft filters is very important for these trucks.

Yep you are going to need some sort of monitoring device. A scanguage 2 would fit the bill. While it does not act as a ford code reader it will tell you other parameters that would help people on here in diagnosing it with you. Without this key information it will be all shots in the dark. I would check your batteries and check the FICM voltages. Either can cause damage to your injectors that would mimick fuel problems. It could even be the alternator acting up as well. I'm leaning on the charging and electrical system health. Until further info can be supplied

Gauges are a must for 6.0 owners.

The Edge Insight CTS will let you have 8 items displayed on the screen at the same time. Then add at least a fuel pressure gauge on the pillar or elsewhere. That way if it were to happen again you could look at the gauges and be back on here telling us that the needle on the fuel pressure gauge was bouncing up or down, or the FICM volts was down in the 30's, etc, etc, etc. It could be batteries, alternator, fuel pump ....

Just to illustrate to folks out there who aren't already aware:
i) neither of those items will set a check engine light (hell the fuel pressure isn't even measured by the truck)
ii) both could leave you stranded
iii) both could cost you A LOT of money if they damage injectors
iv) both could be prevented or caught early with gauges

Without numbers most of the time we'd be just guessing for you.
