Google search about the wicked wheel on other engines 7.3 . 6.0 and see if your impressed. Granted different turbo but. Look before you leap.
There is no doubt that WW has always been over-hyped. On the 7.3 it didn't do much more than eliminate the surging problem, but at the time that was a very welcomed improvement and it wasn't anywhere near $400. It also only took about an hour to swap the wheel on a 7.3 where they are saying 4-5 hours for the 6.7.
Beyond the price tag, my biggest worry would be having the turbo balanced after changing turbines. It was never an issue on the 7.3, but you are dealing with a much different animal here. More mass with more leverage on the bearings means that balance is going to be much more critical. Honestly I would wait to see how the new 6.7 turbo performs and wait for somebody to retrofit it to the pre-2015 engines. If it was a <$200 mod, it may be worth it. I guess time will tell.

Matt. I agree 100%. I just want others not so familiar to research this. I like you the balance issue and load change is a big concern. The one thing going is that its billet not cast.
I'm definitely game as well but will be until next year until I can buy one. Even a slight increase in power and fuel mileage is worth it to me. Not to mention from what I gather it will seem to increase the longevity of the turbo. First order of business for me is to get a tuner though.
Got mine purchased today. Should be in by Christmas Eve then it will probably sit for a month until my nephew can help me get it installed. I'll follow up with some pics and performance reports.
Bumping this thread, LA2005F250 would you be willing to do a before and after dyno? I'd like to see some numbers and graph of a tuned and deleted truck to help me decide if I wanna do this to my truck or not.
Probably won't do a dyno. Dont know where one is in my area (south east indiana) plus probably cost money to do. I will try the test runs that are built in to the hs tuner though
