The reason I placed mine there was to help keep to dry and
to see if I could keep air moving over the transmission, power
steering coolers, the condenser and intercooler.
Now that I have a large enough plastic board section I am going
to replace it with that and not have to worry about it getting wet.

There seems to be plenty of air getting through still even with the cold front on the grille, the area between the fog lights is open and that's where the aux coolers are on my truck.
Also, you can watch the "external temp" on your EATC (or overhead? with manual environment controls) to see how it's effecting temps in front of the radiator/A/C condenser.
Somebody needs to invent an electrically controllable "shutter" for behind the grille to let the driver open/close the shutter to control air flow..
Then we could really stay busy when driving..
