Charcoal Canister

Hello and good morning to all!

I have a 87 F150 5.0L E4OD XLT Lariat 2WD Standard Cab.

There is an approximately 1" square hole in the Charcoal Canister mounted next to the battery with 2 rubber hoses; 1 in and 1 out I assume.

What effect will this have on my engine?

The Air Pump is coming off along with all of the plumbing associated with it but not until I finish my current modification.

That is unless I should replace the Charcoal Canister immediately.

What do you think?

Many Thanks!

Boon

Hello to all and greetings!

I finally made it to the boneyard; 40 degrees and sunny!!!

It took me about 5 minutes to find a EVAP Canister; 5 more to pull it and $10 to buy it.

Sweet Jesus, O'Reilly wanted $115 for it!

Case closed

Thanks for the help guys.

Take care and Godspeed!

Boon

P.S. Rich if you see this reply I sent the information regarding my nephew and all of that technical stuff so I am hopeful that he receives it soon. Thank you for the very valuable information; even if I do not have a clue what you are talking about! Ha Ha
