Can anyone tell me how i figure out what truck I have. Title says model name is lgtcon and model number is f superduty body style is cabch. I cant find anyone locally who can give me much info. I am having a very hard time finding parts for it. Very hard...It has a 7.3 ltr ITI diesel in it although I dont know what that means either.
Post a few pics that would help a little but its probably a f450 if it says f super duty and the motor is a 7.3 idi which is diesel now a question is does it have a turbo if so its and idit like mine
It possibly could be a power stroke they were introduced about mid 94 a pic would be helpful . The way I did it was take a pic with my phone go to you user control panel on here and start an album and upload them that way .
. Yep is a idit . Nice looking truck. Next time you go to parts store do what k do So ;they don't confuse the PS and the idit tell them its a 93 and the turbo model and its a f450 it'll help them out .
Just painted and all led lighting. Needs some more tlc but getting there. More truck than I need but who cares. As for parts guys they all go ape **** when I pull in. Having a hek of a time finding a radiator for it. Also parts stores around here only seem to go up to a f350.
Radiators are the same for the fseies diesels that I've seen . They should be able to get one in if they don't stock it and that's how they are where I live . I usually have to drive thirty mins to*the Napa . Keep up the good were and your in a good place for the idi knowledge thanks the the great people here I'm rebuilding my 94 .
I don't think I could find enough parts to rebuild it even ford dealer was confused. I'd settle for proper rad and may a good working starter. Thanks for the help. It's appreciated greatly
tell them you have a 94 F-superduty with a 7.3 IDI diesel.
if you tell them you have a F-450 with a 7.3 diesel they will try to give you parts for a 99 and newer truck. the F-450 was not introduced until 1999
cool truck!
if she's more truck than you need, there's nothing wrong with that, but just so you know,be mindful these don't have the normal ranged daily driver economy friendly rear axle gear ratios.these are setup for real monster heavy hauling and towing duty.just something to keep in mind.
i agree about calling her a '93 when asking for parts.as for the f-super duty or f450,that will depend on the auto store too.just tell 'em it's a '93 f350 if doesn't have anything to do with suspension or brakes if ya want (you just need to know what your doing, when saving yourself these hassles though.so be a bit careful.)
radiator; you can ask for a 93 f350 7.3l and for which engine code, tell 'em to pick one.the rads will be the same for yours and the M code too.anyway; ready rad 432194 (i see you've got a/c so this will be right.i dunno if the other odd sized rad even came in the non a/c trucks or not though in the 9th gen body style? but that one will fit your particular truck anyway.)
for the starter; again, you can also save hassles with claiming a '93 f350 of either engine code m or c.auto zone has lifetime warrantied reman ones priced good; duralast 16561
i just got one of these rigs myself.you can follow along as i bring mine back up to snuff (and a bit beyond/few mods) and get her ready for a full long service life again here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...pic-heavy.html
