please advise ,bad pcm?
I have a 96 350 powerstroke 7.3. Starts great and is dependable but sometimes seems very weak on the interstate with a 6k pound load. The running differentiates from hour to hour, no missing just surging at an idle. The strange thing is sometimes the wts light illuminates sometimes it dont, even more strange is sometimes when I am waiting for the glow plugs to warm a chime that sounds like the door chime is audible and pulsating , in other words several short chimes, when the truck starts the engine is pulsating to the same beat if you will as the now stopped chime was during the heating cycle. No cel illumination. Fuel economy is lacking as well. Could this be the pcm?
