Door screws?

Door screws?
Hi I have a 70 ford and there are two screws on the door that I can not figure out why they are there. I thought maybe at one time maybe there were different mirrors but it doesn't seem to fit with any I can think of. What do you guys think? and what do you think I should do with the screws?

I thought about those mirrors but the screws seem a bit high on the door even for them and the mirrors that are on it look old.
I will leave the screws for now unless I can paint some screws that kinda match the truck just to make them not stick out as much.
