Are the rear fender patches still available?

If they are, where do I get them from? Plenty of vendors for front fender repair. Only ones I could find are in the Classic-Haulers catalog , but can`t find them on their website.

Thanks,

Oscar

LMC has patches for the lower front for the rear fenders. They're 6 3/4" tall. About $30 each.

fender patches.

Will the patches from LMC that are for a 53 fender work for a 52 fender? Are they close enough to make them work?

Thanks,

Oscar

Sorry, I should have asked what truck these were for. The patches from LMC are for 53 - 56. I see nothing for 52. Good Luck.

FWIW, I made my own. They are just 16-18ga sheet metal bent to the correct curve. No compound curves or weird flanges to replicate. I cut out the bad areas, then made a paper template. Cut a patch out of some 16ga sheet, then bent it over my thigh until it was the correct curve. I have never done body work before, but thought they came out well. Not great pics, but you get the idea.

The top rear curve where rears rust out is really difficult to make a patch for, without an English wheel.

EMS used to make the patches for them, but dropped them quite a while ago. 1948-52 Pickup

Hey Oscar,
We tried patches from LMC & one other supplier but they weren't
even close. We ended up contacting another member here "Reamer" who makes the patches in his workshop. His were excellent. He also made us a door jam & few other pieces.

I'm not sure what years he makes them for but it's worth a shot.

just saying I seen that Dennis Carpenter has now made repro metal rear fenders for the 48 Ford pu I believe they are $400.00 or $800.00 each they were coming out this past fall. I need them for a 47 which he does not make yet. check them out.
