The San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwet. Currently 23 degrees. Definitely not tropical! We have it somewhat easier than you in that we have ferry service. However we are small with a small population so no big stores. If I need a part it's either delivered by UPS or a trip to the mainland, otherwise known as 'Merica. We still get the same seasonal dollar influx, otherwise known as tourists.

most parts are available, unless you need heads or any larger or specialty items, these items must come from the main land. with a high cost for shipping
