Difficulty level of RAS installation?

How difficult is it to install the RAS? Can one person do it without help? Does it require jackstands? Floor jack? pry bar? or any other special tools?

I've had 2 installed... A floor jack to lift at the tow hitch will do... My guy used a fork lift. No special tools. Took him about 45 minutes.

I did mine in an hour, that's wheels up to wheels down. I used a floor jack, jack stands, and basic hand tools. The only thing I had to buy was a metric box wrench to tighten the nuts. I can check the size if you need. It was pretty easy and straight forward.

Are jack stands required? I have a floor jack, but no jack stands.

Do you have to lift wheels off the ground, or just raise the suspension enough to take some stress off it?

I removed rear tires/wheels for easier access. I would NEVER work on a vehicle (especially one as big/heavy as the x) without jack stands. Start to finish was about one hour in the driveway. Very easy with basic hand tools. Good luck!

By the directions (iirc) you have to jack it up, take the rear tires off, put jackstands under the frame, and let it down so the rear axle is hanging. The wrench is a 22mm box end to tighten the nuts.

Regarding the difficulty question, it isn't. My X was the second rig I had done. First install was on my long gone K-2500 Suburban.
