Newer ignition,engine swap
Hi all, I'm a newbie to this so pardon my mistakes. I have a 1974 f100 with a 302 that has 160000 miles. I'm not new to swapping engines in old rides. I am stuck in the 60s and early 70s. I am removing the 302 that has a points distributor , and installing a remanufactured 300 6 cyl. That was in an 87 f150 that was redone but then totaled, with only a few miles. I have no problem except how to use the electronic ignition system on the new engine. It is carbureted, so the distributor is all I need to hook up. What control box do I need, and how to hook it up is my question thanks

Does your distributor have a TFI module mounted to it? If so, it's probably EEC-IV which uses a separate module (see picture below). You'll probably get more useful information in the inline six section of the forum. Link to that section below the picture.
