I'm going to be swapping a 351W/C-6 combo into a truck that currently has a manual transmission (several reasons for auto., long story). So I'm going to need an automatic floorshifter and needs some opinions on which one.
The ones I have looked at are:
B & M Light Truck Mega-shifter, Hurst Pro-matic (with 15.5 inch stick), Lokar Street Rod (16" stick) and American Shifter (16" stick).
Does anyone have any first hand (or even second hand) knowledge of any of these that would help me decide for or against?
I used a automatic shifter from a Aerostar van. The shifter is tall and works very well with the bench seat. It also has a low profile floor mount so someone could still ride comfortable in the middle.
Just the kind of feedback I was hoping for. I'll have to look into the Aerostar van shifter... if I can still find an Aerostar van anywhere. (darn cash-for-clunkers)
Anyone know anything about American Shifter. Their stuff on the website looks a lot like Lokar's but slightly less expensive. Anyone have any live experience with this brand?
