Dual Exhaust...
I want to setup a dual exhaust along the line of what I have on my 99GT mustang. THe setup I have on there really rocks! I have Long tube headers with shorty X and magnaflow magnapack mufflers with 3.5" tips. Very agressive sound.
THe pipes and cat along with the muffler on this truck are completely rusted out.
Any ideas where I could get new Exhaust pipe? I'd like to run maybe 3" if I can... I was also thinking of using a set of headers and a modified Shorty H from one of my mustangs, and then adding a modified magnaflow magnapack catback setup (2.5" w/ 3.5 " tips) on there. I would need some extra pipe to do this. As mustangs are shorter than my truck. ( should measure while I'm thinking about it. Anyone know where I could get a set of Long Tube headers for a 360? Or maybe for 390 and also where I can get my hands on some heads for a 390. I'm dreaming of the possibilities now. Any comments or notes are welcome. Thanks!

here's what I have in my '76 f-150 2wd. stock 360
Hedmen elite headders, they fit well, I believe the coating works also, no starter problems 1 1/2 yrs.
hedman universal x-over 2 1/2 ", that was tough to pipe for the muffler man! no room ,dual fuel tanks.
dual flowmaster 50 series muffler's, and 2 1/2" piping all the way out the back, under the bumber. I love this set up. For a stock engine this made a difference, I can't wait tell I finish my 428,he,he!

My '73 390 has Dynomax ceramic coated long tube headers and 2 1/4" duals out behind the rear tires, no crossover and just glass packs. You should check with the local muffler shop, they can probably custom make what you want for equal or cheaper cost than you buying and chopping your own exhaust.

Don't the muffler shops in California install exhaust on any car that is built for racing? I have never heard of a muffler shop that refused to install some sort of special made exhaust for racing. They don't need to know or should even care that you may actually run it on the public streets if you say it is a car you race with.
