Other states may be different, but here in Arkansas the police are always involved, unless the accident is due to inclement weather and there are just too many accidents for them to handle.

I wish your wife a full, speedy recovery, and hope that you don't run into an insurance nightmare in the next couple of months trying to get things taken care of. Medical bills can ruin you financially, even if you have good insurance.
We have very good medical insurance, probably one of the best in N
America. We have a claim# that paid for our rental, and all medical expenses.

Sorry to hear about the accident Grant. I agree with the concept of, Count Your Blessings. When you see the damage to your vehicle and think about one of your kids could have been sitting in the passenger seat, that's scary. I'm sure your wife will have sore muscles she didn't even know she had. Hope this all works out for you. Take care.

Grant

I just got caught up to jump on here and see whats new! I hate to hear of trauma\car accidents and very glad to see that your wife is going to be okay!

The vehicle is nothing, it can be replaced...but those females, that you share your everyday with, are invaluable assets...take good care of her my friend!

I just found this thread, so glad to know that your family is escaped the worst. All you have to do is look at your wife's truck to see all the bad things that did not happen. I hope all gets back to normal soon. Blessings to you all.

In Saskatchewan, SGI is the sole insurance provider which can make it interesting. I had a guy take off on me in Saskatoon. I really had to stick to my guns to ensure that it wasn't an at-fault claim, but they came through in the end. Hang in there bud!

Glad the wife is OK. About 2 1/2 month ago my grandaughter was down in the mtn, 4 wheeling and flipped over backwards then over a 20 ft. cliff. I got the call they were air lifting her to Lex, Ky UK Hospitol, she is almost healed up now but had a broken nose, fractured cheek bone part of her ear had to be put back on, 42 stiches in her cheek and broken wrist with 3 pins and cast. This is a girl with a 3 month old (my first great grand son) has kept me busy with baby duty, but all is getting back to normal now. I didn't mean to high jack you thread Grant but things happen so fast but thank God, and yes I did say God everyone is OK and life as normal will be back soon. Take car of the little women and count your blessings, be safe and have a great CHRISTMAS.

Thank's Guy's. Dawn Is almost back to normal. She also tore legiment's in her left foot and is on crutches. This morning while brushing her teeth her temp crown fell out, she just had it done the day of her accident. Thanks Homemade, glad your Grandaughter is making good progress. When I got the call about the accident, it choked me up. My oldest son, Jordan said '' dad why are you crying?'' and itold him, ''That's the only mother you have, and the only wife I'll ever have'' On the way to the accident scene, he told me he understands. Have a great weekend.

Amen Brother. I'll be 53 soon, and having a 15 & 8 yr olds is a little trying best of times. Gotta love it.

Grant . just noticed this one . That my friend was a very close call . I pray her recovery is swift and complete . Anytime people bugger off from a accident like that you can bet drugs or alcohol are in some way involved . Once again we wish you and yours all the best . Allan Pat and family
