Cherry Bomb size

So I got a glasspack, two inch outlet and inlet, and its about 26 inches in length. At the pep boys by my house, they have a 26 or 22 inch. Approximately around there. Which size should I get? Opinions. Thanks.

Longer is quieter, shorter is louder.. the flow rate is the same, if the engine is stock, with no power adder's stay with the stock Diameter, 2 inch is fine.. larger diameter on a stock engine will cause you to actually lose power. the length is more a matter of what will fit, and your personal taste as far as how loud you want... I have 40 inch with 2.5 inch inlet and outlet, but I also have a modded engine.. the long Glass Pack give a deep rich sound, better for everyday driving and long drives..

I use a cheap turbo muffler with a glass pack. Nice and quiet.

I ended up getting the 23inch. I seen this video that has a 18inch it sounded really loud but too loud for me. So, i got the 23. After cutting out the old muffler and slapped the cherry bomb on, i was disappointed. I was expecting a nice loud but not too loud rumble.

Something like this.
Starts around 30seconds.

I know it's five inches longer but, honestly, mine sounds like the regular muffler it had on. I haven't gotten it on the street since I don't have a bed, tail lights, or tags. I just turned it on in my backyard on idle and revved it up. Kinda disappointed. Am I doing something wrong? Or did I get what I paid for? Thanks.

It's all personal preference but the glass pack sound doesn't do it for me. It sounds like an old farm truck with straight pipes. Jegs sells a Flowmaster copy for $29.99 each and I believe free shipping. I like deep and throaty with that hot rod sound. Of course; a stock engine won't get you quite there but the right muffler helps. I'm in AZ too.

Yeah Glass Packs on Manifolds... no real point... Switch to Headers, advance the timing a bit, and then you will like the sound, but more so the power gain...

I'll definitely do that. That video I put said it's all stock and I love the sound of it when it drives away. I figured I'd needed to slap on a glasspack and it'll sound great. Alright, I'll get some headers and advance the timing. Any idea on how much headers run for?

I have seen a lot on CL pretty cheap.. I bought a set for my truck that didn't fit around the frame, so I sold them brand new for $150 on Craigslist.. The ones I have on my truck ran me $325 from Sanderson, but they were made for my truck then I paid an extra $100 to have them aluminized (Ceramic Aluminum Coating) I have seen used ones for as cheap as $50.

I decided to google it and I found some Patriot headers for 224 on Autozone. Summit Racing has some Patriot ones for around the same price. How are the Patriot brand? Will I get the sound and power with the ones I posted?

Sorry for the newbie questions. One more thing, if I just purchased headers using manifolds, it would sound better? Or a combination of cherry bomb AND headers will make it sound even better?
