'95 E250 turn signal problem -
I only see one rectangular flasher. It clicks with emergency flashers.
My Haynes "80-96 Bronco and Pick-ups" book shows a round flasher on the fuse panel.
My panel has a place for that but it there is no flasher in place and there are NO Contacts in the slot!
Also shows fuse 7 for turn signal power.
I get no power in on fuse 7 slot, fuse looks OK.
I got a replacement, guy said it operates both emergency and turn signals.
I replaced but no change.
Anybody hear of this anomaly and know where I could find a schematic and fuse layout diagram to match my van better?
Thanks, Howard
Something I find very useful for us DIY's is an OEM EVTM: Electrical Vaccum Troubleshooting Manual, aka Wiring Diagrams.
They are year/model specific for the most part, usually readily available on eBay for cheap: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1995-Ford-Econoline-Club-Wagon-150-250-350-wiring-diagram-electrical-manual-EVTM-/251391403233?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item3a881864e1&vxp=mtr
That one's a bit beat up but only $10, shipping included---good deal I think.
Hope this helps.
I would really like to know what that fuse 7 is all about.
Meanwhile I went ahead and took stuff off to get the multi-function switch.
I took the 5 screws out and opened it up, and right away began to have second thoughts
because it looked a can of worms, but I was committed so...
Anyhow contact areas had a good bit of green
oxidation which I scraped and sanded off and smeared a little Vaseline on them.
By some small miracle I managed to get the thing back together correctly and it worked!!! I mean blinks too! and I am giving thanks
