Help retrieving TCM codes

Help retrieving TCM codes
Can someone describe how to pull the trouble codes from the TCM computer? There seems to be a lack of information on this topic when I searched for it. I jumped the EEC test connector with a paper clip but I cant find any information on how to retrieve the codes. I tried depressing the accelerator peddle and it just toggles to OCS on and off.

Nevermind. I got it figured out. I was under the impression the codes would flash on the OCS-off light. A 12v test light indicated I have a code 23 and code 14; FIPL and RPM sensor. I hope fixing those will cure my hard shift problems.

you'll get code 23 (FIPL/TPS) code if you don't hold wide open throttle during scan though.
(the thing should be replaced every 50k miles.so if it's time,it's a good idea before failure anywho)
for code 14/tach sensor,is the tach working? low or jumping?
tach sensor part# E5TZ-17B384-A
(check ebay)
to test; remove senor and hold sensor up in the air away from metal,and set your meter for ohms.a good sensor will read between 2k-3k ohms.
^ i haven't tried this yet myself.just a quick search.i think my f450 needs ones though.she's skipping at idle and iv got a dim od on all the time.i'll be tackling this pretty soon.it could be the cause for my dim light or that may be unrelated and my sensor just needs to be cleaned to cure the low idle skip,cus she shifts fine.haven't gotten this far yet.
im kinda lucky now as i can just try the sensor from my 250 real quick to find something out too.
it's not a cheap sensor,so testing first is good.
