Oil temps

Question while towing 14,000 lbs toy hauler in the summer my oil temps seem to be on the high side to me (this is my first 6.0 ) I some times will hit 260 during a pull and hover around 235-250 coolant temps are around 225-230 is this normal for towing I have done the unloaded test at 65 and temps are where they need to be any thoughts ?

Sounds high to me.
Is your cooling fan kicking in to high speed?

Sounds like the fan isn't kicking in. EGR valve still installed and connected?

Truck runs great plenty of power no issues other than temps has only 62,000 miles I have flushed the cooling system and now running power cool has a coolant filter and blue spring update monitoring with a Edge scan everything else is stock

I think we found a winner, hook the egr valve back up. If you don't want it to work, get a programmer and command it off, or delete the cooler.

Your fan should ramp up half way at 210* and the full speed at 218*.
Everything take signals from the computer to command the speed of the fan. The egr valve is just part of the equation.
Your 6.0 starts to defuel at ECT of 225* and EOT of 252*.
Did you notice a loss of power?

Thanks for the advise I will try it and see. Although I am a little sceptic Not sure how this is going to lower or change my CT or OT by allowing EGR to flow

The fan circuit GOES THRU the EGR circuit.

The fan won't ramp up to full speed with the EGR valve disconnected.

If you want the EGR turned off you'll need a tuner to do that.

Or quit towing with it disconnected. It isn't rocket science.
