i hope you're wrong! if my inlaws have nothing to upgrade to they'll never sell us their '10.
funny you mention it though. was thinking just this morning as i was getting ready for work about how i've never seen an expedition advertisement (where that thought came from i have NO clue). we love our '04 though, and their '10 even more.
Rich could be right. The full-size suv market has shrunk quite a bit. Getting it back on a shared platform with the F-150 could work better for all involved. The basic premise will stay the same, It's just weather Ford keeps the expedition name or switches back to the Bronco nameplate.
They are selling a crap load of Jeeps every year, with no one competing against them. I think the original bronco was built to be a direct competitor.
Also heard Jeep was talking of independent suspension coming in the wrangler by 2016, if Ford was to produce this Bronco looking similar to the prototype it would crush the Jeep, it would probably also force GM into bringing back a retro Blazer to compete also.
I know you're right Ger, I'm glad I don't have a jeep just to say I have a Jeep. Mine may not be a hard core trail rig or rock crawler, but it is a fun toy for the sand and mild trails that I do ride on.
If given a choice, and in all honesty if they do come to production with a new Bronco I would really look long at it to take the place of the Jeep. I can assure everyone here that I would not be buying a Jeep with independent suspension.
