Dana 50 lockers
So who wants to know which lockers for their 99-01 SD with the dana 50????
After many hours of research I think I have some answers.
!st the lockright 2510 is the one that will work I'm told from a guy who sells em to SD owners and never got one back He says all D50's are the same.
2nd Of course the ARBD50.
And if you really want to you can find a detroit locker for it also.

I've made up my mind I'm going with the detroit soft locker in the rear and the lockright in the front......Finally
And did you know that if you have posi in the rear you can get a no slip locker from the lockright company that will just drop in to the posi case.....10.5 sterling..

By the way powertrax who makes the lockright. well richmond now. doesn't even know that the 2510 will fit the newer D50's

I ordered one.. hope it works, thanks for the research.. been wanting one for awhile.. got stuck at the dunes 3 weeks back swore i wasnt going off pavement again till i had the locker up front... thanks

ARB makes one, but....BE CAREFUL!
If you've ever had the diff apart you can see that the interenals are basically a Dana 44 (including inner splines!)
If you're hitting the mud or rocks, I'd stay with a limited slip (if they make one yet)
For sand or snow, you should be ok with a locker (ARB).

I have come to the same conclusion for front lockers. After DAYS of research and asking questions the D50 has several options, you just got to ask for the right application.

installed the rear detroit today. sat What a job not for the inexperienced!! The bearings were trashed so I had to get some new units not bad $100.00. oil was 50.00 anyhow just waiting for the silicone to dry before I put the oil in then maybe i'll tackle the front lockright tonight or tomorrow..

99f350sd whick lockers did you go with? I'm thinking of putting in a rear now and the front in a couple months but i can't find a front. i dont want to spend a ton a money like the air ones.
