Low voltage #1 injector

While driving the family in my 06 F 250 PSD from Kansas City to southern OK. The truck started shaking and shimmying while in cruse control at about 2250 RPM. Stopped at an auto parts store and ran a scan tool and found a low voltage #1 injector code. Drove on to OK.
I had my FICM done by Ed at FICM repair.com 2 years ago, 40 Atlas tune.
First thing I did was check the FICM and it checked out good!
So I think it may be a bad injector!
Any opinions would be appreciated
Mike

Look at the harness where it connects to the injector and follow it to the FICM. Look for any signs of chaffing. If not, get an injector. You can ohm the injector to see how it looks.

It isn't terrible. Not knowing your level of skill makes it hard to say.

Need to pull the valve cover and oil rail. There are a lot of good videos on youtube with how-to's. Most mechanically inclined people can do it.

Is there anything I should try once i've established that the coil and harness are OK? Additives Etc... Before i jump into a new injector. Or are these things just a waste of money?

Being in Kansas City swing on down to Grain Valley and visit Super Duty Service and ask for Anthony or Julie. They will help you.

Well Mike made it in today ... injectors 1 and 7 ... I did not really get to visit with him much, because the phone was ringing off the hook with a service call and a 6.4 injector problem ... man o man .. He has a very sharp truck and has taken very good care of it

Just a diagnosis, or did the injectors get swapped out already?
