C6 identification
Hey guys,
I'm finally going to get to rebuild my C6 sitting on my garage floor this winter. Where can I find the tag/ID numbers for it to identify what year of C6 it is?
If I'm going to order parts for it, I need to know where to look for those numbers. I couldn't find them at first glance with a flash light and mirror... Not sure where to look for them now.
Any help?
Also, who can decode these old bullet proof beasts?

Check for ID tag on the servo on the transmission, it should be on the right side (driver).

Is the tag roughly the same size as the carb tags you'd see on the stock 2bbl or 4bbl?
Or is it directly on the servo?
When I looked last night I couldn't find anything in terms of tags/stamped numbers.

The ID tag are about the size you see on the rear differential.
Should be directly on one of the bolts holding the servo.

Finally found the transmission tag on the C6...
Not sure that it's a C6 anymore even though the # of pan bolts says so... Looked up on another website and the ID number didn't come up... weird..
Looks like a 1979 C6 from what I can see, but I'm eager to hear what you guys say.
The tag reads:
PGD.............BE5..............B20
D9TP.............LA................058076

I've been doing a bit of reading and I'm also kind of curious to know how to identify the Servo and it's lever...
I'm just curious to know what servo the tranny came with and what it's lever ratio is.
Any ideas?
