I need to know how to tell the difference between a C4 and a C6 transmission. I have an identification tag I took off what I think is a C6. The numbers follow:
PJA C8 J3
D5AP CA26510
Can anyone tell me what type of Trans the numbers indicate.
Also, I found an automatic transmission in an old Thunderbird that has a cast iron case bolted to an aluminum bell housing. Can anyone tell me anything about it. Is it stronger than a C6.
How the hell do you guys know all these tiny details. Are yall looking in manuals, is there a standard way to decode, WHAT? I think my war on the bowtie scum would be much more hostil if I were able to decode all the numbers I come across. Let me know guys.
