Tach problems

OK...Truck has sat long enough.
Replaced tach sensor, traced every wire I know.
How do I run dedicated ground for tach?
Thanks

Found broke wire just behind connection plug on mine. Wire insulation was still attached. Do a continuity test at plug and somewhere up from plug. Replaced cluster and sensor before i found broke wire. Not being a smarty but dont depend just on looks. That cost me $110 when just piercing wire with one meter lead and other on connector would have saved me some cash.

No man. No smarty at all, I appreciate any recommendations I can find.
Good thought...I may have overlooked something I simply assumed was in good shape...thanks.
