Anybody have a line on any of these parts? Funny thing is, somebody somewhere ether had or has a whole bunch of these running boards. Do you know how many fire trucks I have looked under and found that the original running boards were removed when the fire body was installed? Who's got 'em??????????? Would be ashame to find out they were scrapped!

we have been using running board off later 1970s you have to trim about
an inch off the top (nobody will ever notice) sam

The truck has been outfitted with a flatbed until I have time to construct the wrecker bed. It has been on the road since spring. I only drive it locally until I can insure the bugs are worked out. It is fun to drive. I will add a few additional photos to my album if you want to take a look.

Chris,
Now that is a nice build on the temporary flat bed! Thanks for responding!
Wait! I have to wipe the drool marks off the screen!
Additional pictures of your truck during the build portion are always welcome too! The finished product sure looks nice.
I am just trying to learn a little bit about these big bad boys!
Regards,
Chris

Running boards... kind of a hard item no one makes those. So,
This also was a fire truck F900 that had diamond plate boards.
Now can you tell that this truck has 1979 F600 running boards???

No, they do look good. Only thing noticeable is the radius difference at the fender. I managed to doctor mine up enough to use them, after all, it's not a show queen and I step on them and scratch them up with my boots anyway. Looks like you have the same scoop on yours, just mounted different. What engine do you run, 312Y?

391 FT 4 bbl Holley 5sp OD power steering. As far as the radius at the
fender I say nobody will ever notice, unless they own one. sam
