SECURITY LIGHT WILL NOT STOP BLINKING
When I purchased my 2005 Ford F150 I had them install a security system. I do not know the name or brand, but it was installed by Ford. As part of this system, an LED light was installed just to the left of the headlight switch. Typically, when I would set the alarm with my remote, the LED light would blink and then, when I would unlock the car, the LED would stop blinking. Lately, it just continues to blink. The timing is two blinks, then a five second pause, then two blinks, and so on. I have tried resetting the alarm using the "turn the key on eight times, wait for the door locks to click, etc." method, but it did not work; the LED continues to blink. Any idea of why this is happening and what I can do to make it stop?

Welcome to FTE, hopefully you will be able to find the answer to help you here. You mentioned that you don't know the brand of alarm, but that Ford installed it? Do you mean when the truck was built, or the dealership did it? Dealerships often install alarms, usually Karr brand alarms. Silly question, but have you contacted the dealership about the alarm?
