Unless I don't know any better about the UPS label on the box, there isn't another label in the box. I refuse to pay return shipping, he said he would provide return shipping. I will have a local 'mail connection' scan it so I know. I'll send one email and that's it!!
Yes, I agree with you Darin, Bill and Travis, they go on first to make sure. This picture doesn't tell anything, I'm sure the difference is very small.

Reason: added Travis!
Yeah, it looks like the passenger side bellow is up a little higher to me. I'm not sure I like that idea because in my mind, that puts it closer to the downpipe. The driver side bellow looks to be really close to the same spot as the old ones.

There would be another label in the box for the return... or check your email, he could have emailed you the label...
Them bellows are are in a whole different position.i hope that fixes it.
I had to take another picture to see it Aaron. The new ones are different.

Right after I posted, I saw your post and edited it Travis, LOL You know I wouldn't forget you ! I don't think the passenger side bellow being higher will effect the DP. If anything, my DP needed to be bent slightly more towards the engine. That created my problem of rubbing on the firewall, which I have corrected. Jake said the drivers side was changed but I, like you, don't really see it.

No label and no email. IDK, LOL I think I'm done with the guy anyway!!
I have good clearance on both sides but Travis was right, the bellow on the passenger side, being moved up, took up a lot of clearance I had worked to get. I can get the DP down there but only have 1/8" clearance on each side. I don't know how much more I can push the firewall back? I don't know about Irate Jake, he fixed the drivers side but screwed up the passenger side! He calls me for the up pipes back I'm going to tell him I cut both passenger sides off and had the old passenger side welded on the new pipes, which is a possibility! I even tried your trick Bill of trying to pull it over by the way you tighten them to the exhaust manifold.
Yep, I bet mine are his "modified" ones as I'm hitting the dp with that bellow. I had to do a lot of work also to get that dp in there in the first place. I think its a good idea I'm tunneling it out this winter.
If you can't get any more clearance on your dp, 1/8 inch all the way around is probably enough. Be nice to have a hair more, but you'd probably be ok.
Its no big deal to pull the DP out again, I haven't connected it to the exhaust yet. What I'm not doing is pulling the turbo out again, LOL. Those two bolts on the drivers side aren't any fun. I got it all tight today, then went to put on the oil drain pipe and it wouldn't go in. I loosened all three bolts holding the up pipe brackets down and pryed up a little and got it in, LOL. I'm thinking that I can tighten the DP and mark the firewall and try to V that area, I will see.
That's what we did on Codys downpipe. We heated the pipe up and dented it in some on each side to make room. Hated to do that, but we tunneled the firewall and still needed clearance. Lol
I could also tell in those first pics of the new ones that the pass. side bellow was much closer to the collector. I don't quite understand why they did that because it did put it right in the path of the DP. You can only push on that pinch weld so much with a porta power, and something is gonna give. Mine busted in the curve at the top of the trans tunnel, and in the curve down where it meets the floor pan. At that point is when I decided to go ahead and tunnel it out. I didn't wanna leave it like that. After tunneling I have 1/2" of clearance on both sides of the 3.5" DP. Still though with the tunneling, you can only go so far above the pinch weld before you get into the stuff on the inside of the firewall, but what I could get gave me lots more room.
Mine must be the earlier one. The passenger side bellow is RIGHT after the collector. It is parallel with the ground and on top of the bellhousing.
Mine clears fine
My DP is in with maybe a 1/4 to 3/8's of a inch clearance on both sides. It was a challenge to get this without denting the DP in. When I first started last winter I cut the pinch weld in four places with the sawzall and flattened them down. Today I pryed up the middle part of the pinch weld and cut it off, then ground it down with a grinder. I then put the porta power up there and pushed that part of the firewall in some more.
