Yes, he sends them first or he can keep them. I called him three times today, no go. Did you see Gabe's picture, his is touching at the top of the bellow.

I have noticed you guys are lucky to have a lot of down time with your vehicles. Being my DD this is something I would be doing in a weekend, and would be irate if some of these time costing issues I have seen throughout your guys threads popped up on my truck. Not bashing anyone out there, but since you all have done this kit, is there a better route to go, or is this the only route.

One last question, is it possible to install without pulling the motor? I planned on rebuilding the trans at the same time, and was hoping having the trans out it would be fairly straight forward, unless I am completely overlooking an issue. I have a 5 speed manual fyi.

Sorry to thread jack, but I thought it was fairly relevant.
Totally relevant! Matt from full force diesel, I think, has all the stuff. No, you don't have to pull your motor, its actually easier to install then to take out the stock turbo, LOL

I did see Gabes picture. I'll probably wait and see how it is once I pull the downpipe out and start working on that. I may peek up there this weekend though.

Glenn, the stuff Full Force sells is Jake's kit, the same stuff. They just sell for him.

I figured it was Bill. Now get this, are you guys holding onto your hats??

I just got off the phone with Jake. He is sending me a new set by UPS with a return label for my set!! I already have the tracking number. Big day, I got my dash back in, gauges remounted, played with the dipstick (not that one, LOL) trying to get it to stop leaking and new up pipes on the way!!

Edit: The other day I just put my turbo on with the old copper gasket, the one that goes in between the turbo and up pipes. Is a new one required?

I don't know. My turbo came with a steel gasket.

Another thing, Jake hinted that he likes calls and voicemail better then email.

IDK, mine looks copper, maybe its steel.

Maybe you have finally broken down the communication barrier between you and him.

Some guys just don't do e-mail real well. It's funny how some people have their biases against certain methods of communication. I have a good friend who is a really great guy and he will email you twice a day and carry on a conversation. Don't try to talk to him on the phone though. Super awkward. He avoids it like the plague and will have his wife call for something if he can convince her to do it, lol. A great guy though all around. Just hates talking on the phone...

I was over at the shop piddling with my truck this morning and peeked at my uppipes. I have all kinds of clearance to the trans. The bellow is rubbing on my downpipe a little bit, but that will get taken care of. I couldn't see real good on the passengers side, but I could see at least 1/4 inch gap under the uppipe, but couldn't see the top of the trans. Neither one seemed real close at all. Maybe I got one of the first modified sets he did, who knows.

Sounds good Darin. Still waiting on my new set, he is from Oregon and it went real fast to Vegas. Sat there for 36 hours then it finally left and went right by me and is sitting in Phoenix. Its still not moving and has been there since noon yesterday. It says I'm suppose to get them tomorrow. I need to get the truck running, we are taking the 5er next Thursday for a short trip.
