Auto Wrap what would you Do???

SO Guys n Gals I found this Guy that want to put an Auto Vynl wrap on my car and truck

Its Advertising for Pepsi, Coke, Dell, Microsoft etc...

It Pays 400.00 a Week or 1600.00 a Month per Vehicle so I am Looking at 3200.00 a Month between them Wife Car and My Truck

the term will Be 1-3 months

I think the wifes cars will get it Regaurdless

But IDK If I can do my truck up like that it will cover Everything from what I understand

On the Bonus side it will protect my truck from Salt on the roads here that's very Harsh in winter

I don't know what to do, do I cover My BABY???LOL its Easy Money is ALL!!!

Guess I just have to Realize the Fact I will look like a DipChit for a Few LOL

I wouldn't do it to my black truck, but isn't yours white? At least it won't show smudges when removed.

Interesting. Will they remove it at their cost when you no longer want it? And will it have any effects on the paint?

As long as it doesn' damage the finish when you do remove it I see no reason why not.

Seems to have gotten quite popular around here been seeing a lot of cars with advertiseing on them lately.

We even have a guy with a flatbed with a billboard sign on it.

From what I have read, vinyl won't hurt paint if it is quality vinyl (I don't know the difference between good or bad vinyl) And the length of time the vinyl is left on the paint.

That's not a bad deal for a few months. I could use a little extra pay. Sadly, they would put "Dave Smith Motors" on my Ford!!!

Benny, do you live in a neighborhood that has CC&R's? I know where our house is in another town, we couldn't have a vinyl wrapped vehicle in our driveway! And, if I were over there, my garage isn't big enough for my truck!

Just saying!

Yes CCR here Great Point sean I did not think of it This is Exactly the reason I posted about it so you guys would bring up the Points I haven't considered Yet
However its not to Strict though

I Honestly don't know if there is any Rules about that. But my driveway where I park they wouldn't be able to See it from Road Really just the front or Back of the Vehicle as the House Blocks one side and a 6 foot fence blocks the Other

I know a Landscaper that Tags his company trucks with this type of Auto Wrap, And I have seen after the Vinyl Auto Wrap has been taken off after he had on a Year or so (I believe it was on that Long) and You could Not tell at All. He has white trucks to and after the Vinyl decal was removed there were No Lines where it once was removed so he could sell it

I am Not to worried about Damage from the auto wrap right now But maybe I should be IDK

IDK what to do LOL

Easy Money and that is VERY VERY Rare for me to come by

Yes they Pay Install and remove Vinyl decal

The Auto wrap company will be responsible for any Paint damage from what I understand

My Paint job is not perfect But in turn its Not that bad yet its a Work truck

The Guy will send me a check to deposit in my Bank Accout for the Price of the Install of Decal and for the first week from what I understand at this point. SO I guess I could deposit the check give a Couple days to clear the Bank.

So basically he Rents the Space from me to advertise

FWIW does not seem like a Scam so far I thinking he is Legitimate Dude. I Do Not give him Any Bank Info Just my Address so he can send the Payments

Been sending him Emails back n forth this week about it The Guy is Back East somewhere. I know he is Not Local to Utah FWIW

That's a pretty good bonus for just driving your truck. If your not worried about the paint, and it sounds like it wouldn't hurt it anyway, then why not make some extra bucks.

Vinyl will protect the paint. I removed factory vinyl racing stripes off my car and the paint was brand new underneath. I would do it ! Give them my number I will wrap all my vehicles. Lol

OK doing some research on this It maybe a SCAM

it has always Kinda seemed like a Deal to good to be true if you know what I mean

Starting to get me worried some that it could be a Scam here is the Info I received from them

What do you think Im Nervous about it and don't know what to think

Here is some of the email I have received

Things that make me Suspect a Scam are

I think at a Minimum Once I get the Check I have to wait to see if it Clears the Bank before I send the Money

Why Isnt the Guy Paying for Decal install Himself

The Money I am Supposed to send for decal install is NOT going to a Business I googled it and its a Residential Home NOT a Business

Here is your payment tracking number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
coming via USPS.com courier service. The Check (Amount= -$2480.00-) you received
is a combination of your 1 week Up front Payment of $400 including other Payment
such as -Materials- (Vinyl Decal), Transportation and workmanship Fee for the
Expert that will be wrapping your car.

We are already behind
schedule on the Car Wrap Advert, process the Check at your bank and deduct your
1 week Up front Payment of $400, you will send the balance to Robert Harris, He
will assign an Expert to decorate your car, you will be sending the balance via
"Western Union Money Transfer service and charges for the transfer should be
deducted from the balance which you will be sending and not paying it from your
pocket.
Immediately the money has been received, the Expert will call you and
make an appointment with you (-what day and time-) to come down to your location
and do the Job (i.e. wrapping of your car).

Immediately the
money has been received, the Specialist will contact you and make an appointment
with you (-what day and time-) to come down to your location to paste the wrap
(i.e. wrapping of your car). Only the doors would be covered.
