I put in LEDs from superbrightleds.com a couple years ago in my 97 F-150. If I had to do over again I would buy nicer LEDs. I've had a few problems with the 2 smaller LEDs I replaced (I can't remember the number anymore, maybe 194?) When it's cold they do not work. I don't know why. People have told me the V-LEDs is the way to go. Here's what I looked like right after I did it. Looks much better than the stock bulbs.

You're lucky you have a 97-99 lol the later 00-03 I have doesn't have the blue film in the cluster like yours does. I'd have to strip off the green to make it blue.
Yup, I actually put pure white LEDs in and it came out a beautiful blue. The stock incandescent bulbs gave off a yellowish glow, so yellow+blue=green. Pure white LEDs give a nice blue.
March excellent picture. Now I need to do this. Ive replaced all my dash bulbs with standard bulbs but some do not work. I may need to order a new circuit board.

Thanks. Start by making sure the contact areas on the board and sockets are clean. You can use a super fine sand paper or even an eraser. You may not need a new circuit board. Also check that the housing is complete so that the sockets will lock in securely.
