Was given a link to a motor near me . The deal is its a jasper reman bit it will get me by till I figure out the deal with my current motor its ready to come out and go into discovery mode but not having my engine lift is holding me up . Little brother borrowed it and went hunting.Used it today and bringing by tomorrow after work then I'll have a definite answer with pics.
Something I noticed today as I turned it over manually is there's a bring noise on the up or down stroke can't tell cause the heads are still on . I've heard they are pretty heavy and didn't wanna risk messing any thing up if they are still good .

Appreciate the offer but not having a truck is a big setback it sucks . If it wasn't the holiday season I would buy the whole deal and use it but I have two boys so if you wanna get it its cool and at that many miles and being 4wd along with not knowing the maintenance or how the owner drove kinda .makes me wonder.

Went and looked at the motor last night and looked good . He was able to start it up and let it run and didn't here nothing wrong . Then he had a idit motor that thing was making some ticking and tapping noises . Gonna try and talk him in to a deal hopefully Wednesday and get this thing back running

The one that is currently in my truck is over 80 thousand and the one I'm looking at borrowing is said to be between 30 and forty thousand . When j talked to the guy he said truck was smashed pretty badly and that's why they pulled it.

Sorry bout the mix up gonna get some more pics up tomorrow and start a new thread of the new to me motor which I picked up for a cool eight hundred with everything under the hood for the taking . It started right up coolant was good and oil was is good condition with no water in it . The other one I was gonna purchase was for 1500 and was out of truck and took an hour to get started and was unable to check the coolant the oil was good though
