I have not worn shorts outdoors for about a month and a half. The boneyard was alright except for the Missouri Muck. My dog was having fun and of course made a mess of my velour seats!
Semi-related; I forgot to get the year off of the donor truck for my 4.9L Fresh Air Intake Box. I also washed off the Catalyst Decal while power washing it. Oooops!
You all take care and stay warm.

P.S. The cold is not so bad if the sun is shining but we have more rain predicted and even colder temps. I do not know why but I feel colder in the 30's and 40's than in the 20's or teens.

Well it was 3 above this moning, got up yo 23 today.Gonna have to find my longjohns pretty soon.
Most definitely toby tough. I am probably around 2-3 weeks from using the long johns. However, if I were where you are (3 degrees) rest assured they would be on NOW!
I have been told that we are going to a cold hard Winter.
However, shoveling snow is good exercise for this old man.
Take care and Godspeed!

Rotten woodchucks tore the insulation out of my cellar, off my basement. Now when the temps get to the low teens the water lines to my washing machine freeze.
I'm in Texas, but I've been freezing my butt off. It's only low 20s, but it is sleeting, raining, and it is supposed to snow tonight. I've been outside and sleet melting on you and then re-freezing isn't as fun as it sounds. I only have old navy jeans (which are great in the summer) and it was like wearing a screen door. After I found a pair of long johns, I went to give my horse a flake of alfalfa and it was frozen solid. It got left under the edge of the roof and the water coming off it soaked in and froze. Had to break it and heat it up. Then I tried to get in my truck and it was a giant popsicle. It was parked by the edge of the roof and the water dripping off it landed on the side of the truck and froze. I tried to open my door and it was frozen shut. I managed to get my toolbox open only to find I was out of de-icer. I went inside to search the house and found no ice scraper or de-icer. So I had to walk across my pasture in the freezing rain to put my horse in the barn while carrying feed and a 40 pound bucket of water. I went to town with a friend and walmart was out of de-icer. I ended up going to oreillys and bought 4 cans of it. It's been a long day.

You can't tell it in this pic, but there is a sheet of ice covering the entire truck

To get your door open, take a pitcher of room-temperature water or cooler (NOT hot water--you can shatter your window), and pour it slowly over the perimeter of the door.
But, yeah, freezing rain and ice storms pretty much suck. If there's not equipment out salting the roads, you're better off not going anywhere.

Hello and good morning.
Just like broke vet I can see the icicles and also the side wall of your tire.
I will take snow any day over ice as it is so dangerous.
It is 11 degrees here now and I have to take my dog out!
Ya know ,I mite try one of the other doors .Sometimes here in MN. a hair dryer works to get one tawed out.Maybe the sun will warm one up enough to get it open. They are rite about the ice on the roads, very dangerous for you and others on the road. The last thing they would want to see is a big red Ford commin' at 'em sideways.
