I bought the truck in my signature back in spring. The 94.5 and it never had any of the linkage for the transfer case because the previous owner broke it.
I am heading up to my brothers farm where my parts truck is located to get those and some other parts which is the 95 in my signature. And they are calling for lots of snow.
I am just wondering if the roads get hairy can I put a pipe or piece of something on the little metal arm coming out of the t case and shift it into 4 high while underneath the truck? Or do I need that aluminum linkage piece that mounts to the tranny?
I assume I can just pull back one notch to get 4 high going.
Should be able to reach up and shift it by hand. If it is real stiff you may have to use a pair of channel locks or something, but it shouldn't be a problem. Your sig is not showing up, so I don't know what the trucks are, but the auto and manual trans take a different length linkage bar that goes from the shifter to the t-case.
If u do crawl under and shift it, if its like mine, it will be hard to get it in 4wheel high. Everytime i tried to shift like that i would pull lever and overshoot to neutral. Good luck!
