Need Advice
I have my eye on a 2006 F250 (70k miles) and would like the advise of those who have owned this truck (or one like it, ie 6.0 model years).
As it sits right not, the mpg's it's getting is crappy to say the least. Unless I can do some mods to get the mpg's up, I probably will not buy the truck as it will be my daily driver. The on-board dash mpg's is saying ~ 11. I'm not sure this is accurate because of the lift-kit and big tires.
It has a 4 inch lift with 37x12.5 R17 Nito Grappler tires. I've been told it has an upgraded EGR and oil cooler, all from "Bulletproof". Everything else is stock. It has never been tuned.
It comes with the factory parts that were removed when the lift kit was installed with the exception of the spacers.
My questions are:
- What mods can I do to increase the mpgs?
- I'm not against removing the lift kit, so how difficult will that be? Are factory spacers hard to find?
- Any other thoughts/suggestions you have
Thanks everyone for their input.
The lift kit would be straightforward to remove just the same way as putting it in, just opposite. factory spacers could be obtained from dealer, rockauto or the likes.
