light throttle AOD shift points

Hey I got a 1990 ford bronco it has a 5.8 351 with the aod transmission I got the transmission rebuilt and never drove it tell that was done and it don’t seem to shift right I t shifts from fist to second finebut takes a bit to long to go in to 3 then shifts into od to soon I have adjusted they’ve cable every way possible I was told to find a longer tv cable does anyone know if that’s true is there more then one size of tv cable since the bronco had iam pretty sure a 5.0 or smaller in before some put the bigger Motor in
